Anti Litter InitiativesAnti Litter CampaignThere are four elements in the anti-litter campaign.
How can you help?Many people are working extremely hard to combat the problems of litter. The local authority, schools, residents groups and community groups all assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the City. Why not get involved in a clean-up in your own area. The local authority will assist by providing bags, gloves and litter-pickers. Please do not litter and do not tolerate those who do. Volunteers across the city get out and clean up greens and other local areas. Groups must register with An Taisce to avail of Clean up kits. The aim is to:
Sligo Borough Council will assist groups at any time of the year with local clean ups. Gloves and bags will be provided, and bagged litter from clean up will be collected by Sligo Borough Council. |
