Great Response to Enterprise promotion Day

There was a very encouraging response to the Enterprise Promotion Day’ hosted by the Sligo County Development Board. The initiative was hosted by the CDB to attract new enterprise to Sligo and to offer supports to existing businesses. Among the agencies represented at the promotion in the Glasshouse Hotel, Sligo, were Enterprise Ireland, Sligo County Enterprise Board, Institute of Technology, Sligo,  Sligo LEADER Partnership, FAS, Teagasc and Failte Ireland.

Sligo County Council’s Director of Services for Community, Enterprise, Arts and the Environment, Rita McNulty, was pleased with the response of the general public. ‘There was a very broad cross-section of interest among the visitors to the promotion, and there was a mix of current and potential enterprise. I think the active involvement of so many agencies was the key to the success of the event, and I would like to thank them for their commitment to the project.’
