Procedure for Applying for a new Hackney/Limousine Licence 1. Complete PSV form and return it to City Hall Quay Street Sligo Cash, Bank Draft or other draft for the appropriate fee Hackney Licence Fee €250 Limousine Licence Fee €250 Photograph of Applicant signed on reverse side (4" x 3") Vehicle Licensing Certificate or Registration Book 2. A Conditional Offer will be sent to you. This will include the Hackney/Limousine license number which will be assigned to you. 3. When you receive your Conditional Offer please arrange to have your car tested at a National Car Test Centre . Please note that prior to having your car tested you must have a taxi meter and a taxi sign affixed to the car in accordance with the Regulations. 4. When your car is tested you must forward the following documents to this office by the date specified in the conditional offer: (a) A test certificate and certificate of suitability issued under the National Car Test Regulations 2000 and (b) Current Insurance Certificate covering the use of the vehicle as a taxi. (c) PSV Drivers Licence (d) Vehicle Licensing Certificate or Registration Book for the vehicle in your name 5. On receipt of the items listed at 4 above a license will be issued to you. Warning to Applicants: Any person who furnishes false or misleading information in connection with their application renders himself/herself liable to a Penalty of up to €440) and/or 3 months imprisonment.
