Sligo Borough Council is carrying out a programme of works on traffic lights
over the next two weeks. These works are aimed at improving the flow of traffic
on the Sligo Inner Relief Road and the Wine Street / Adelaide Street area, but
may cause disruption to traffic while the work is in progress.
The upgrading of traffic lights will take place at the Adelaide Street / Wine
Street Junction and on the Inner Relief Road from the Upper John Street junction
to Hughes Bridge. This work is expected to be completed on Friday, 2nd February
2007. Traffic management will be in operation.
Motorists are also asked to note that from Monday 29th January a right
turn from Union Street onto the Lord Edward Street will be prohibited.
