Mr. Dick Roche has announced that he will extend the statutory deadline for checking the Draft Register of Electors
The Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, Mr. Dick Roche has announced that he will extend the statutory deadline for checking the Draft Register of Electors from 25th November to 9th  December 2006. This new deadline will allow Registration Authorities to complete the work in the register process and will facilitate people to check the Draft Register who have not already done so.
You should check that you are registered and that your details are correct. You can now make amendments to the Draft Register before 9th December November 2006 by contacting the Franchise Section of the Council and advising them of any errors or omissions. The Draft Register of Electors is on display at public offices of Sligo County Council, Post Offices, Garda Stations and public libraries, otherwise log onto www.checktheregister.ie or www.sligococo.ie.
