(Please note that the Market Yard is a Casual Trading area on Fridays and Saturdays, any vehicle obstructing the casual traders will be towed away and a fee will have to be paid to release the vehicle).
Free Car Parking
At present there are two free car parks on the West Side of the City Finisklin Road Car Park and The Showgrounds Car Park
Both car parks are located 10/15 minutes walk from City Centre
Disabled Parking – Designated Parking Spaces
There are a total of 29 disabled parking spaces for disabled drivers who display a valid disabled parking permit. These disabled spaces are coloured in Blue. If a disabled space is unavailable then the disabled driver is entitled to park legally in an ordinary parking space free of charge displaying their valid disabled parking permit.
On-Street Parking
Parking charge per hour for on-street parking is €1.20
Minimum parking period will be 20 minutes at a charge of 40 cents.
For each 5 minutes parking, after the first 20 minutes the fee is 10 cents.
On street locations where you can park all day for EUR2.50
Pearse Road – From its junction with Pilkington Terrace to its junction with Mail Coach Road (both sides of the road);
Church Hill – to Showgrounds inset
The Mall (Upper) – Between Calry Lane and River Lane
