- Awards €100 to each school that is presented with the Green Flag.
- Disseminates information and give talks to students on recycling, litter and composting.
- Hosts an annual Green-Schools Seminar to offer advice & assist schools towards Green-Flag status.
- Promotes and organises events in schools for National Wildflower Week, National Tree Week, National Recycling Week and National Spring Clean.
- Offers competitions to students highlighting environmental awareness e.g. Design Anti-Litter Posters.
- Offers grant aid for ‘Anti-Litter’ projects under the Anti-Litter Awareness Grant.
