About County Library

Sligo Public Library Service is the second oldest public library service in Ireland, having been established in 1880. The library service acts as a  centre for the provision of cultural, heritage, educational and information services.’

Sligo County Library’s website: www.sligolibrary.ie gives access to our online catalogue and allows members to renew their books and place holds on material they wish to borrow.  This normally means items are available to them on their next visit to the Library.
