Elections

Sligo County Council prepares the Register of Electors annually. Sligo Borough Council’s contribution to the preparation of the register for 2008 is €7500. The draft register was printed on 1st November, 2007.

Markets, Fairs and Abattoirs

Following the implementation of the Casual Trading Act 1995 Bye Laws 2005, a review of the Bye Laws was carried out in 2007. The results of this review will come before the Borough Council early in 2008 and should assist in resolving various problems which have arisen since the implementation of the Bye Laws.

Administration and Miscellaneous

Introduction of the extranet facility to Borough Council Members will commence in 2008. Training will be provided to all Members to enable them maximise the benefits of the new technology.
