Abbey Street Car Park Regeneration

Sligo Borough Council are intending to develop the Abbey Street Car Park.  The development will include the provision of multi-storey car-parking.

To assist in this process the Council has appointed Planning Consultants to undertake the preparation of a Constraints and Options Study on the site.  The study will present relevant information that relates to and could potentially impact on the development of the site and to provide guidance on the future development of the site.

The Council wish to consult with all relevant parties and persons having an interest in the proposed development and who may wish to contribute ideas, proposals, concerns etc.  You are invited to make a written submission/observation headed ‘Abbey Street Car Park Regeneration’ to:

Closing date for receipt of submissions:  5:00 pm on Thursday,  26th June, 2008.

The Council also intends to hold a Public Consultation evening from 7.30 pm to 10.00 pm on Thursday 19th June, 2008 at the Embassy Rooms, JFK Parade, where the public will have an opportunity to discuss their views with Sligo Borough Council staff and the Consultants preparing the Constraints and Options Study.  If you wish to speak to Council personnel involved in the project and if the above date is not suitable please contact Brian Flynn on 071 9111573.
