Implementation of Vehicle Weight Restriction on Cloonlaughil, Bridge, Curry, Co Sligo.

Sligo County Council, in accordance with Road Traffic Acts, 1961 to 1994, the Road Traffic (Traffic and Parking) Regulations, 1997 S.I. 182 of 1997 and Road Traffic (Signs) Regulations, 1997 S.I 181 of 1997 and following consultations with An Garda Síochána are introducing a 8 tonne weight restriction for Motor Vehicles with immediate effect using Cloonlaughil Bridge, Curry, Co Sligo Local Road Number L-49014.0.

Warning Sign Number Rus 015 to be erected immediately on both sides of the bridge.  The reason for this restriction is to protect Cloonlaughil Bridge from further damage and until the necessary repairs are carried out.
