Christmas Tree Recycling

This Christmas, when you recycle your Christmas tree at the newly opened Ballisodare Composting Facility located at Youngs Quarry, Ballisodare, you will receive a free holly tree that can be planted in the garden.   This offer is available during the month of January and householders are encouraged to avail of this facility.  The Composting Facility accepts all types of green waste that can be composted e.g. trees, hedge trimmings, bushes, leaf litter, shrubs, grass clippings etc.  All green wastes are shredded and mixed, and then put into windrows on the site. These rows are monitored and turned to produce a peat free, quality compost.

The opening times of the facility are Tuesday – Friday 10 am to 4pm (closed 1pm-2pm for lunch) and Saturday10am to 2pm. Contact Joe or Derek on 087-9756544.
