Are you on the Register of Electors?

You can check at Sligo County Council Offices, County Hall, Riverside, Sligo, Garda Stations, Libraries, Post Offices and online at www.checktheregister.ie

If not, there is still time to apply for inclusion in the Supplement and vote at the referendum

If you are an Irish citizen, 18 years of age or over by polling day and ordinarily resident at the address at which you wish to be registered, you can apply for inclusion in the Supplement to the register. If you have moved address recently and are registered elsewhere, you may apply to get on the Supplement at your new address.

Supplement application forms are available from Sligo County Council, Garda Stations, Libraries, Post Offices and on line at www.checktheregister.ie. Completed forms must be received by Sligo County Council by Tuesday, 15th September, 2009.

Your application must be signed in the presence of and witnessed by a member of the Garda Siochana in your local Garda Station or, if you cannot attend your local
Garda Station, by an official of Sligo County Council provided you state the reason why you were unable to attend your Garda Station. Photographic and other identification may be required and should be brought with you.

If, because of a physical illness or physical disability, you cannot attend either your local Garda Station or Sligo County Council, your application form must be accompanied by a medical certificate.
