Notice of Proposed Development - Fairgreen, Caltragh TD., Sligo
In accordance with Part VIII of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Regulations 2001, notice is hereby given that Sligo Borough Council proposes to carry out the following development:
Development of recreational open space at Fairgreen, Caltragh TD., Sligo.
The proposed development works include the provision of:
- Play facilities.
- Enclosed multiuse games area ( MUGA).
- Uniformly graded and grassed park area with avenue planting.
- Pedestrian and cycle paths with entry and exit into the proposed park between houses 12 & 13 and houses 20 & 21.
- Park furniture to include seats and picnic tables ,garbage bins.
- Lighting.
- Low level screen planting and structural planting around the perimeter of the park with landscaped entrance and exit areas.
- Looped pathway system around the park to serve both as a pedestrian walkway and toddlers bicycle training track.
- Associated site works.
- An ongoing maintenance program to ensure that high standards of horticultural maintenance and playground maintenance are met.
Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection at the Planning Section, City Hall, Sligo, between 9.30 a.m. 4.30 p.m. during the period from Wednesday 5th August to Wednesday 16th September 2009.
Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and development of the area in which the development would be situated may be made in writing to the Administrative Officer, Planning Section, Sligo Borough Council, City Hall, Quay Street, Sligo, not later than 4.30 p.m. on Friday 30th September 2009.
