SLIGO AND ENVIRONS DRAFT DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2010-2016
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS
Sligo Borough Council and Sligo County Council have prepared a Draft Development Plan for Sligo and Environs (SEDP) for the period 2010 to 2016 in accordance with the provisions of the Planning & Development Acts 2000-2007. The Draft Plan and associated documents were on public display from 9th February to 22 April 2009. A total of 172 submissions and observations were received during the consultation period.
Notice is hereby given that, having considered the Draft Development Plan and the Second Manager’s Report on submissions and observations relating to the Draft Plan and associated documents, it appeared to the elected members of Sligo Borough Council and Sligo County Council that the Draft Plan should be amended and that the proposed amendments would, if made, be a material alteration of the Draft concerned.
Copies of the proposed amendments of the Draft Plan and associated documents may be inspected from 19th August 2009 to 16th September 2009 both dates inclusive, at the following locations:
Planning Office, Sligo Borough Council, City Hall, Quay Street, Sligo
Monday - Friday: 10.00 am - 4.00 pm
Planning Office, Sligo County Council, County Hall, Riverside, Sligo
Monday - Friday: 9.00 am - 5.00 pm
Sligo County Library, Stephen Street, Sligo
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday: 9.30 am - 5.00 pm
Thursday: 9.30 am - 8.00 pm
Sligo Reference Library, Westward Town Centre, Bridge Street, Sligo
Monday - Friday: 9.30 am - 12.45 pm and 2.00 pm - 4.45 pm
On the both Councils’ websites at www.sligoborough.ie/sedp and www.sligococo.ie/sedp copies of the proposed amendments and associated documents may be purchased during the same period at the Planning Offices in both City Hall, Quay Street, and County Hall, Riverside, Sligo.
Your views on the proposed amendments only are invited. All submissions and observations should be made in writing (hard copy or e-mail), headed ‘Proposed Amendments to Draft Sligo and Environs Development Plan (SEDP) 2010 - 2016' and sent to:

A report with recommendations on all valid submissions or observations received will be prepared and presented to the Members of the Borough Council and the County Council for their consideration.
