Mayor looks forward to Telethon Events

The Mayor of Sligo Councillor Jonathan McGoldrick has commended the organisers of the ‘People in Need’ Telethon for their efforts in bringing this major project to fruition. ‘There are so many deserving causes vying for people’s attention that it can be difficult to deliver a project of this scale. But the People in Need Telethon has captured the public interest all over the country, and I know the people of Sligo will be fully committed to supporting the many events in this area. It gives people time to reflect on the excellent work being carried out by the dedicated volunteers in our society, and the telethon provides the wider community with an opportunity to show their appreciation in a tangible way by supporting the many events being hosted in Sligo.’
