The Mayor was speaking at the launch in City Hall on Tuesday 20th March. ‘There are over 650 people in Ireland waiting for life saving organ transplants, and this campaign will greatly increase public awareness concerning the importance of carrying an organ donor card.  In the region of 2,600 people are enjoying an extended life as a result of organ donation, and it’s essential that we encourage as many people as possible to carry a card.’
