Mayor Pays Tribute to Eugene Lambert

The Mayor of Sligo Councillor Jim McGarry has paid tribute to the late Eugene Lambert, saying his passing is a great loss to his family and many friends. ‘Eugene Lambert was a larger than life figure, whose infectious enthusiasm and sense of fun was known both in his native Sligo and in every part of the country. His marvellously spun tales captured the imagination of children of all ages, and I don’t think we will ever se the like of him again. He will be sadly missed.
