Minutes of April Monthly Meeting of Sligo Borough Council held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, Sligo on Monday 12th April, 2010 at 8.00 p.m.

1. VOTE OF SYMPATHY AND ADJOURNMENT

Councillor Jude Devins proposed and Councillor Jim McGarry seconded a vote of sympathy to Councillor Rosaleen O’Grady, on the death of her mother Rose Foley, Treacy Avenue, Sligo.

All the members joined in the expression of sympathy.

On the proposal of Councillor Veronica Cawley seconded by Councillor Jim McGarry it was unanimously agreed to adjourn the meeting for one week as a mark of respect.

The Sympathy of the Council was also extended to:

• Heinz Probst, on the death of his father Hans Probst.
• Sean O’Kelly, on the death of his mother Kathleen Kelly, Cleveragh.
• Joe Cawley, on the death of his wife Jean Cawley, Tubbercurry.
• Seamus Farrell, on the death of his father William Farrell, Cliffoney.

Ms Mary Blowick, on behalf of the staff, joined in the expressions of sympathy

On the proposal of Councillor D Bree, seconded by Councillor Tony McLoughlin it was unanimously agreed to adjourn the May monthly meeting to Monday 17th May, 2010.
