Minutes of February Monthly Meeting of Sligo Borough Council held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, Sligo on Monday 15th February, 2010 at 8.00p.m.

1. VOTE OF SYMPATHY AND ADJOURNMENT

The Mayor proposed and Councillor Veronica Cawley seconded a vote of sympathy to Councillor Marcella McGarry, on the death of her father Ted McGarry of St Brigid’s Place, Sligo.

All the members joined in the expression of sympathy and on the proposal of Councillor Veronica Cawley seconded by Councillor Jim McGarry it was unanimously agreed to adjourn the meeting for one week as a mark of respect.

The Sympathy of the Council was also extended to:

• Councillor Jim McGarry on the death of his Aunt Kathleen Cawley of Jinks Avenue.
• Maureen Scanlon of Treacy Avenue on the death of her husband Martin Scanlon

Ms Mary Blowick on behalf of the staff joined in the expressions of sympathy.

This concluded the business of the meeting which ended at 8:25pm and stood adjourned to Monday 22nd February, 2010 at 8.00 pm
