Minutes of September Monthly Meeting of Sligo Borough Council held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, Sligo on Monday 1st September 2008 at 8.00 p.m.

1. VOTES OF SYMPATHY AND ADJOURNMENT

Councillor McGoldrick proposed and Councillor Bree seconded a vote of sympathy to Councillor Veronica Cawley and her family on the death of her father-in-law Padraig Cawley, St. Michael’s Terrace, Sligo.  All the members joined in the expression of sympathy and agreed unanimously that the meeting be adjourned as a mark of respect.

The sympathy of the Council was also extended to the following:

• Pat and Vera Devaney, and family, Ballincar on the death of their daughter Neasa
• The Rooney Family, St. John’s Tce on the death of their son Joseph
• John Moran, Senior Executive Officer on the death of his brother Padraig
• The Kilfeather family, Drinaghan on the death of Sean Kilfeather.

Mr. Declan Breen, Director of Services joined in the expressions of sympathy on behalf of the staff.

Councillor V. Cawley thanked the members and executive for their sympathy and in particular for adjourning the meeting as a mark of respect.

This concluded the business of the Meeting which ended at 8.06pm.
