Minutes of May General Purposes Meeting of Sligo Borough Council held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, Sligo on Monday 26th May 2008 at 8.00 p.m.

1. VOTE OF SYMPATHY AND ADJOURNMENT

Cllr. Bree proposed and Cllr. Devins seconded a vote of sympathy to Jim and Leo Gray and the Gray Family on the death of their mother Mrs Vera Gray, 97 St. Brigids Place.  It unanimously agreed to adjourn the meeting for 15 minutes as a mark of respect.

The sympathy of the Council was also extended to the following:

Mrs Betty Callaghan and Family, Jinks Avenue on the death of her son Darren Callaghan.

The Hennigan Family on the death of Mrs Della Hennigan late of Hennigan Bar, Wine Street, Sligo.

Mrs Irish Shaw and Family on the death of her husband Cyril Robert Shaw ‘Delmar’ Lecarrow, Strandhill, Co. Sligo.

Mr Michael Moran and Family on the death of his mother Mrs Breege Moran late of 3 Lynns Terrace, Sligo.

Mr D. Breen joined in the expression of sympathy on behalf of the staff.

The meeting adjourned and resumed at 8.20 pm.

2. DEFERRAL OF MOTIONS FROM THE MONTHLY MEETING AGENDA

On the proposal of Cllr. Devins it was unanimously agreed to defer consideration of motions from the monthly agenda.


3. PLANNING APPLICATIONS RECEIVED

A list of Planning Applications received PD08/08 to PD08/48 and circulated with agenda on 21st May 2008 were read and noted. 

4. PLANNING DECISIONS MADE

A list of Planning Decisions made and circulated with Agenda on 21st May 2008 were noted

5. CONFERENCES

On the proposed of Cllr. Chris MacManus seconded by Cllr. Devins a list of Conferences circulated with Agenda on 21st May 2008 was unanimously approved.


This concluded the business of the meeting which ended at 8:30pm
